President
Shugufa Kaker

Shugufa Kaker
Voting me as your President, you vote for Experience. I have seen the HSF in many different capacities. I became involved with HSF when I became an Event’s Assistant and developed many of my own event ideas. To implement my ideas, I became your VP of Campus Life of Lakeshore. I over-delivered on my promises. This year, I want to be your President.
I will be your Voice. If you have suggestions or concerns, I will personally deal with them. I am taking one course per semester to be fully Devoted to You. I will Change the way students view the HSF.
I will:
* Work with Chartwells to increase ethnic foods in the cafeteria
* More Indian and Oriental foods
* Lobby with Toronto Transit to increase the frequency of busses during peak hours
* Work alongside College Student Alliance to lobby our issues with the Canadian Government
* Lobby important issues to Humber College ( Ex. Parking)
I am the most qualified candidate for this position and you can count on me to deliver upon my promises. I encourage everyone to make an informed decision and Vote. Empower yourselves and your student body.
Vote Shugufa Kaker for President.
Experience. Change. Voice. Devotion.

For Me Presidentship is not about Power, but about Empowerment in which all students have a Voice. Presidentship is about Students….their HOPES, DREAMS & DESIRES. It’s about working together to create an environment in which EQUALITY, ACEEPTENCE & RESPECT continue to be HUMBER’s Hallmarks….
Currently I am working as a Director of Applied Technology and helping the students having difficulties regarding their Program…….So If I will be The President I will do my Utmost to help each and every student regarding any issue….
As you all know this is a time of recession so if I will be the President With the help of my staff and students I will try to contact more and more companies so that students can have abundance of Jobs….

Davinderjeet Singh
Hello everyone. I am Davinderjeet Singh and I am in business management program and I am running for president. I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest college. Growing up I was taught that there are no higher values than honesty, integrity and public service. However, I did the volunteer work with conservative party of Canada. I believe in the quote “where there is will, there is way” where there is me, there is change. I promise you all that I will help all the students in every possible way and I will make the change that everybody will love and enjoy. I am not from those leaders who say that there work is done after winning; instead of saying all this, I would like to say that work for my friends is now started. After winning, I will create such environment that everybody will enjoy. For me this college is like my home, teachers like my parents and you all like my siblings. So, I request you all to please vote me. I assure you all that “promises will be made and promises will be kept.”
Thank you all very much.

Abhishek Tyagi

Abhishek Tyagi
I’m Abhishek Tyagi your presidential candidate for Humber Student Federation. The reason I decided to run is because like the rest of you, I think we all deserve a better return on our investments
My Agenda includes but not limited to:
- Providing the students of Humber and Guelph Humber the Positive stress free academic environment, more sociable social life and active participation in college affairs
- The cost of food on campus isoutrageous. As HSF President, I’ll make surethe prices we allhave to pay as students arereasonable and fair.
- I will be an advocate for student issues and concernsat thecollege and provincial levels to ensure the voice of the student body is heard
- I want to MinimizeHumber’s carbon footprint- for example, reducing the amount of paper HSF uses by installing electronic signs and billboards
- We need to make better use of existing infrastructure and facilities, like theamphitheatre. (The amphitheatre could be used more often or in a diff. way that would benefit students.
- Bringing more books and extending the library hours and expanding the quit study area.
- Providing more recreational facilities to all campuses and residence
The truth is if we want to deal with these issues we’re going to need serious funding. Rather than depending on the college alone or government grants that barely scratch the surface, as your HSF President I’ll tackle this matter head on and collaborate with you to find a solution that meets our needs.
Believe you can make a difference, think big and never hesitate to act.
Vote for me and get your voice heard! Wishes
